As founder and Executive Director, Robert Emond will be leading the team and providing oversight to all non-profit activities. Rob has extensive experience running a successful public-facing business for over 20 years (REMR Roofing). His transition to recovery coaching is the result of the time spent at the Top of the World Ranch Treatment Centre, which opened him to the possibility of doing this for others who have struggled with substance use disorder or other forms of addiction.
Our Board of Directors includes Anto Raic and Wayne Maitland. Anto is a Christian Recovery Coach. Wayne is a certified Recovery Coach who brings the Indigenous and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) perspectives to his recovery coaching practice. All have lived experience of addiction and mental health issues. They also all have first-hand experience of community needs, having worked in various frontline social services roles.
Wayne is also enrolled in the Community & Justice Services Program through Seven Generations Education Institute in Kenora, which will provide him with comprehensive training for working with youth and adults in crisis.
Karli is a Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student who researches the roots and maintenance factors of addictive behaviours.
